Study Day

Featuring:

  • A staged reading of scenes from Mary Shelley's original novel and five dramatic adaptations based on it.

  • A talk by academic and playwright Dr Emma Whipday (whose plays include Shakespeare's Sister and a new adaptation of Dracula) on 'Staging the Gothic'.

  • Professor Fiona Stafford, an expert on Romantic literature, 'in conversation' on the topic of Mary Shelley, her contribution to literature, her influences and her legacy.

 

This study day is designed for undergraduate students at Oxford and Sixth Form students who are studying Frankenstein and related literary works. It is free to all, however places are limited and booking is essential. Refreshments will be provided.
